VERNACLISM
To my friend and thinker Jordi Salat
The Nation was born from the land and its genius
and speaks to us with telluric sounds from an oracle;
deeply buried within a dark millennium,
it makes us free and its own with vernacular light.
The mythical and magmatic song
shapes the living rhythms of Nature;
the voice receives the word, and the brightness
of Gaia’s soul murmurs in the heart.
Climbing Llull’s mystical ladder
we have reached the spirit that emerges
far beyond the horizon and the eye,
before the years, the days, and every hour.
The voices, like ancestral messages,
still preserve primordial words!
